The excellent vineyard site of « Les Cazetiers » is placed high up on the slopes of the hillside and benefits from ideal exposure to the sun’s rays. Undergoes 10 to 12 months ageing in oak casks. The wine produced is a complex, appealing style with rich fruit and berry notes allied to a robust structure which requires a certain amount of ageing before it truly comes into its own. A very pretty ruby robe gives way to subtle aromas of stone cherry and melted vanilla. A refined wine, definitively!
The name of the village of Gevrey changed during the early part of this century when the local inhabitants elected to add the name of their most famous wine to the existing name.
