Named for winemaker Gary Andrus and his wife Christine, Gary & Christine’s Vineyard is home not only to their winery but to their family as well. It is planted meter by meter to Laurelwood soils, a combination of sedimentary and volcanic earth, and is sustainably farmed with controlled yields. This wine is unfined and unfiltered.
“Robert Parker initally gave the wine 88 points and added that ‘”f time brings this wine into balance, then my scores may well appear stingy”. That was in September ‘07 and we believe that is exactly what has happened. While this wine certainly will improve with further cellaring, it is starting to show very well, indeed and seems to warrant a score in the 90s for sure.
