Arboleda Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
Aconcagua Valley, Chile
91% Cabernet Sauvignon
9% Cabernet Franc
Winemakers Notes
This ruby red colour wine offers a very good tipicity on the nose where fresh red fruit notes such as raspberries and cherries outstand, in addition to subtle touches of sweet spices contributed from barrel aging like cinnamon and clove.
On the palate, the wine is firm but yet smooth; tannins add structure throughout the mouth with a pleasant volume. The sweet spice flavours appear again, along with soft leather, tobacco and cedar aromas, creating a tasty and elegant finish.
Our Arboleda Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 is sourced from Las Vertientes Vineyard in the Aconcagua. This region features an extended, dry season with moderately warm summer days cooled by soft afternoon breezes coming in from the Pacific Ocean. Las Vertientes Estate, located at 50 km from the Pacific Ocean, was planted in 1999 and 2000 including 26 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon.
